Welcome to Sligo Hub
Welcome to Sligo Hub. We hope to be your guide to Sligo, Ireland. Sligo Hub is an initiative by two Sligo ladies. Val is a photographer, writer and Social Media Manager, you can find Val over on her blog Magnumlady. Kate is a web designer and developer and an expert on SEO, you can find Kate at refreshing.ie .
For residents of Sligo we will be listing clubs, societies, support groups and events over the coming weeks.
For visitors we hope to share the hidden gem of Ireland with you.
Why come to Sligo? Located on the stunning Wild Atlantic Way. With Ireland West Airport just a short drive away and convenient to get to from Dublin by bus and train it’s the perfect place for a holiday.
We may be biased but we are very proud of our beautiful county. Whatever you are looking for in a holiday Sligo has it. With over ten beaches in the county as well as beautiful lakes, stunning mountains and fabulous forests we think you’ll enjoy Ireland’s biggest secret.
Over the coming weeks we’ll be adding adventures, things to do, events, clubs, societies and more. Sligo Hub is a voluntary site at the moment but are hoping to get sponsors and advertisers to cover costs. If you’d like to contact us please email sligohub@gmail.com
Love your blog. I live in Donegal & Belfast. Love Sligo especially Strandhill. Like Donegal I think Sligo is a “forgotten county” – yet both have so much more to offer than say Kerry & Wicklow. I consider this part of the West of Ireland the most authentic & unspoilt part of this beautiful island.

Thank you for your lovely comment Gary
Great initiative to put Sligo in the spotlight – so congrats Val and Kate! I’m living in Melbourne and a proud Sligo native. Will be ‘home’ next month for a few weeks to replenish my cultural and attitudinal instincts.
Thank you very much Enda for such a lovely comment. I (Val) used to live in Melbourne, safe travels and I hope you enjoy your visit home.
