The highlights of this year’s festival include “Our 3rd annual Teddy Bear Picnic in the forest walk takes place on Saturday, kindly supported by Lollipop Lane Creche. This is followed by a first for Tubbercurry, an outdoor cinema on Saturday evening showing Bohemian Rhapsody.

In addition to various games, bouncy castles, our annual tractor pull and fancy-dress. A highlight of the day will be a display by Street Bike Freestyle Rider Mattie Griffin on his BMW Motorcycles. Ranked fifth in the world, Mattie will entertain his audience, with new moves and his signature tricks. Entry to both our Family Fun Day and Old Fair Day is free to the public, a tradition we are proud to uphold. This can only be achieved by the huge volunteer effort of the committee and support of businesses and sponsors for which we are sincerely thankful.

There will be over a hundred exhibitors dotted throughout the town and we are delighted to have the hugely popular Robert Mizzell and his band on stage proceeded by Shane McGowan and friends. Ocean FM will get the day started with a live broadcast from 9 a.m. with the Niall Delaney show. You can also visit the Bank of Ireland tent for fun games and activities.
We are delighted to welcome the return of the Sligo Volunteer Centre who will host an exhibition, displays from community groups and talks entitled “volunteer voices” in the hall. As always thanks to the local farmers who bring their prize-winning cattle, sheep, pigs and various other animals for our visitors to view. This year we are also delighted to partner with the SARURE project.
