St. Patrick’s Day in Co. Sligo 2017

You might be wondering about things to do in County Sligo for St. Patrick’s Day, 2017 – so here are  some suggestions:

There are several parades taking place:

The Sligo town parade starts at 12 noon on the Mail Coach Road and finishes at Our Lady Of Mercy Primary School.

Enniscrone Parade starts at 1.30pm

Grange Parade starts at 2pm

Riverstown Parade starts at 2.30pm

Easkey Parade  will start promptly at 3pm

Ballymote Parade starts at 3.30pm

Dromore West Parade starts at 4pm

Aclare Parade starts at 4.30pm

Tubbercurry are holding their annual 10k run on St. Patrick’s Day at 12 noon. Full details are here.

Sligo Riding Centre in Carrowmore have a horse show starting at 12 noon. Details are here. 

Seatrails are hosting a Carrowmore Tombs Trail. Explore part of Sligo you may not have seen before and hear the history of this area from Auriel of Seatrails. Suitable for families and all ages. 10am – 12 noon. Refreshments included after the walk.

Sligo Global Kitchen are hosting an afternoon of music and food in the Gillooly Hall after the Sligo town parade. All are welcome.

The Hawk’s Well Theatre have a show suitable for 4 – 10 year olds. Woofle is on at 2pm on St. Patrick’s Day. Tickets €5

Heart’s Desire in Sligo have a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party at 3.30pm. All welcome.

Art For Blind Records presents an evening of unique Irish electronic music from three fantastically diverse acts to celebrate St Patrick’s Day at the Model. Tickets: €15 Regular ticket / €12 concession / €7.50 Go See (U18’s)
