Sligo Summer Festival Returns Early For May Bank Holiday Weekend!

Where can you get two, 3 Day Festivals for less than the price of a Pint in Temple Bar?

Ireland’s best value festival is back and they’ve doubled up with two weekends this year. Remember, it’s only €3 Admission and the kids go free!

First up is the May Bank Holiday Weekend which has an amazing line up with party favourites B*witched and Whigfield headlining the Saturday and Ireland’s favourite country star, Nathan Carter guaranteed to pack Stephen St Car park on the Sunday.

To top it off, guitar legend Johnny Gallagher and his Boxtie band will have Sligo town rocking on the Friday! The Sligo Summer Festival is already considered the Northwest’s biggest shindig, regularly attracting 15,000+ people for the Annual August shows.

Speaking on the announcement, Production Manager, Brendan Tierney  said: “We hope to bring people from far and wide to Sligo and we are asking the people of Sligo to tell their friends and family from afar to make the journey to the Northwest. Sligo has so much to offer from food, activities, shopping and nightlife and we feel the festival is a great attraction to get people to the region to taste all that is good about Sligo.”

There will be three nights of live music and great food, plus daytime activities, including a Family Fun Day and a Soap Box race. The regular August Festival will also return for four nights from August 8th.
