Sligo’s Hazelwood has made the top ten of Irelands most visited forests during lockdown. And rightly so. There is nothing we love more than a wander through the trees beside beautiful Lough Gill.
You may have heard of the Japanese practice of forest bathing or Shinrin-Yoku. Various studies have shown numerous health benefits from spending time in the woods, including lowering cortisol levels.
We actually attended a forest bathing workshop in Sligo back in the summer 2020 and found it so relaxing and peaceful. So go on a wander and breath it in.
