Whether you’re a Sligo local or visiting for the weekend, Sligo Christmas Markets are always a must-see over the festive period. It’s one of our favourite things to do. Held in various spots around Sligo, these markets are a great place to find gifts for your loved ones. There will be stalls selling a range of crafts, food and drink, so there is something for everyone! Plus, Sligo itself is a wonderful place to wander around and take in the festive atmosphere. So come and enjoy all that Sligo’s Christmas markets have to offer! We’ve listed the markets for you below. Ho ho ho

Strandhill People’s Market

Strandhill People’s Market at Christmas is a lovely spot! This market has arts, crafts, vintage clothes, artisan breads and more. Often accompanied with live music , the shopping experience is really enjoyable. Santa is scheduled to fly in each Sunday until Christmas. This market is also covered so if it’s raining your’e still dry. On every Sunday up until Christmas from 11am to 4 pm. Airport Road, Strandhill.

Sligo Christmas Market

Based in the mezzanine of Quayside, Sligo Christmas Market is in it’s third year! Expect handmade wreaths, candles, woodwork and crochet. Beautiful items. Also, Showergem from Dragon’s Den are back! Open Monday to Saturday 10am – 6 pm and Sunday 11am – 6pm. Santa is arriving Saturday 10th time tbc.

Rathcormac Craft Village Christmas Markets

The Rathcormac Market has been relocated indoors just in time for Christmas, back to where the old market used to be, still in Branley’s Yard. If you’re looking for jewellery, handmade soaps, candles or delicious food, head over to Rathcormac. Open every Saturday 10-3pm, Thursday 22nd 10-3pm and Sligo Santa is arriving on 17th 1-2pm.

Beltra Country Market

Always a warm welcome and a wide variety of beautiful, home produced goods Beltra is a local market in the truest sense of the word. Local makers produce wonderful cakes and chutneys, Knitwear and more. There are some fun Christmas activities on for children too. Santa arrives at 12 noon on Saturday 10th, Christmas carolling with West Sligo Singers and a tombola. Old school fun! Admission to all is free.

Easkey Christmas Market

Easkey Christmas Market is a one off event each Christmas, this year it’s held on Sunday 11th December, 11-4pm in Easkey Community Centre. They will have festive treats, amazing art works and crafts, crochet and a bumper raffle prize with over forth prizes to be won and a hamper worth €150.

Achonry Market

Donkeys, live music, carol singing and a prize drawer every week, Achonry is packed full of entertainment to get you in the Christmas spirit! Every Saturday 10am-1pm.
