The Leitrim Heritage office in conjunction with Creative Ireland and artist Vanya Lambrecht Ward invite you to come and ‘Talk Shop’ in a shop on Main Street, Carrick-on-Shannon (beside Lena’s Tea room). This temporary shop will serve as an exhibition, library and activities space as well as a meeting place for collecting and sharing stories and holding talks around the value of Leitrim’s shops and their facades.

SHOPTALK will also be hosting a public talk at 7.30pm on Wednesday 21st of August. Our panel of invited experts, Alison Harvey (Heritage Council) Dr Arthur Parkinson (UCD) Fintan Duffy (DHB Architects) and host Carol Coleman (RTE) will discuss elements around the topics of conservation and planning and cultural heritage.  While you’re there we invite you to share stories and ideas, try your hand at sign-writing or tiles design or find information at our specially curated library.
