SG Art Gallery host their first exhibition
The SG Artshop invite you to the opening of their new gallery for the first of what they hope will be many exhibitions from local artists. The initial exhibition will be work from Leitrim based artist Cormac O’Leary-prior to his next solo show which launches at The Doorway Gallery, Dublin in April 2020.
The SG Artshop is the west of Ireland’s most extensively stocked fine art and craft outlet, and they are delighted to be able to show off the work of our many talented customers and friends. They have extended our shop to twice it’s original size in 2019 and now we are using their entrance to host the work of local artists.
The exhibition opens on Saturday March 7th at 2pm
Cormac O’Leary studied fine art at Sligo IT. He has had over thirty solo exhibitions, most recently at The Chimera Gallery, The Barbara Stanley Gallery, London, The Hamilton Gallery Sligo and The Doorway Gallery, Dublin. He has also exhibited his work widely in Ireland, UK and America.
Cormac has also taken part in various group shows and has won several awards including The Miliken Bros Art Material Award, 2000 and Bursaries from the Irish arts Council and Leitrim County Council. His next solo show ‘The distance of Memory’ launches at The Doorway Gallery Dublin in April 2020.
