Pancake Day in Sligo
Is there anyone who doesn’t like pancakes? This year pancake day falls on the 25th of February and you are guaranteed delicious pancakes throughout the county. We put a shout out for local restaurants and cafes to send us their pancake photos and here they are.
Osta Cafe and Wine Bar serve pancakes every day because after all pancakes are for life and not just for Shrove Tuesday. These are famous in Sligo so well worth trying.
The Blind Tiger are serving Camp Fire Pancakes and Mint Aero Pancakes. Be warned though these sold out by 3pm last year.
Baker Boy are serving a pancake stack with Prosecco Sabayon, meringue kisses and berries
If you are near Easkey head to Pudding Row, they have a sweet and savoury pancakes.
Sweet Beat Cafe are serving Vegan Pancakes, Sligo style! Spelt, chocolate chip pancakes with coconut whip, dulce de leche, chocolate sauce and fresh berries.

Studying in the IT? Don’t worry you can still have pancakes at the O’Hehirs Food Court.
Charity Pancake events:
Pancake Breakfast in the St. John’s Cathedral Deanery from 10.30am to 12.30pm. Proceeds will be distributed between MU Overseas work and the Calry and St John’s Group Sunday Schools, please join us if you can.
Sligo Traveller Support Group are delighted to be organising a Pancake Breakfast/Lunch fundraiser in aid of Northwest STOP on Pancake Tuesday February 25th at their Sligo office opposite Aldi.
Pancake Day Henry’s Bar and Restaurant N15 Sligo-Donegal Rd., Cashelgarron on Tuesday 25th Feb from 12 to 7pm, call in and order your pancake with donations to North West Simon Community the local homeless charity.
