It’s going to be a busy weekend in Sligo with so many wonderful events taking place, here are just a few:
Get Up and Go with Passion and Purpose takes place on April 21st and 22nd at the Knocknarea Arena, IT Sligo. The many speakers at this event are chosen to inspire everyone to think about what you are truly passionate about and to discover how to create purpose in life by living true to your passion. The Western Drama Festival is hosting the All Ireland (Confined) Finals 2017 under the auspices of the Amateur Drama Council of Ireland. The festival will take place in St Brigid’s Hall Theatre, Tubbercurry, Co. Sligo over 9 nights from Friday 21st April to Saturday 29th April. Nightly @8pm except closing night is @7pm. Record Store Day is this Saturday April 22nd. To celebrate Liber in Sligo town are having a music filled day – 9am Limited Edition Record Store Day releases will go on sale.
10am Turn It On will be spinning records.
4pm Kieran Quinn Music & Seamie O’Dowd will be playing tunes from their new album Melodic Reflection.
The Shore Shots Surf and Adventure festival is a weekend of Discovery, Adventure, Inspiration and Creativity taking place over the weekend of April 22nd – 23rd at The Model. Featuring the latest films from the world of surfing, live music and a range of inspiring talks from designers and creatives, the fifth Shore Shots festival is a special gathering to celebrate all that’s great about the Wild Atlantic Way.
