Mill Falls, Collooney

 

There are so many hidden gems in County Sligo and Mill Falls is one of them.

If you are in Collooney you’ll see the old crystal factory and just beside that is a housing estate called Mill Falls. If you go to the end of the estate you’ll see the most amazing falls.

The mill was once a corn mill and dates back to the 1830s. It’s no longer is use but it makes an imposing backdrop for the Owenmore River.

As with all waterfalls it’s better to go along after a rainy day – and we certainly get enough of them!
