Introducing the Sligo Nose of Tralee

You’ve heard about the Rose of Tralee, well let us tell you about the Nose of Tralee. This competition, which is the brainchild of Petsitters Ireland, invited pet owners all over the island of Ireland to nominate their pets for the Nose of Tralee.

There were hundreds of entries, which were whittled down to one contestant for each of the 32 counties. George Wonky Ear is flying the flag (or the fur) for Sligo!

George is delighted to be a finalist in this year’s Nose of Tralee, representing underdogs everywhere! The Sligo Nose is not at all shy about his Wonky Ear; he’s very comfortable in his own fur and poses for photos knowing he’s quite the handsome devil. While George may look like he’s only half listening to you, this one year old is a very good boy, (Oh yes you are, yes you are!!) and performs all kinds of tricks for the right treats. His special talent is agility (once he learned to go through the tunnel instead of dragging it around the back yard). His hobbies include impersonating a jack-rabbit in the long grass, fetching sticks ten times his size and playing catch and lick with his sister Mildred. George thanks you all for helping to turn an Underdog into a Wonderdog and will be eagerly keeping an ear out for the results!
