Halloween in Sligo

October is a month for all things spooky, and there’s no better place to celebrate halloween than in Sligo. From scary walks to fancy dress party’s, there’s something for everyone in this northwest corner of Ireland. So if you’re looking for some scary fun this year, check out our list of the top 10 things to do at halloween in Sligo!
For the Family
Shells Cafe and Baker Boys have face-painting on for the kids. Saturday 29th 10.30am – 1pm in Baker Boys and Sunday 30th 10.30 -1pm in Shells Cafe. It’s free but they will be taking donations for Creeslough Tragedy.
Halloween ‘Scare in The Park’ is on at Sligo Folk Park on 30th December. Booking is required. They have face-paining, a Frankenstein’s Workshop, their patting zoo and crafts and activities. They also have a pumpkin carving competition open to everyone (FOC), just bring your finished masterpiece to the Park Reception on Saturday the 29th of October and we they display it during the event. The pumpkin carving champion will be chosen on Sunday. Book here

Sligo Rowing Club ‘Zombie Hunt‘ is back! Expect Zombies by the river and a scary chase. Fun for all the family . Refreshments provided. Prizes for best costume Adult and Child. Booking here
Baby Sensory Northwest’s Baby Sensory Pumpkin Party willl be exploring autumnal scents, visiting a bonfire and taking a trip to a magical pumpkin patch along with lots more Sensory fun. Hosted at Salt and Soul Studio in Strandhill on 31st October at 10.30am & 1pm. Book early to avoid disappointment – BOOK

Rebell Surf have a big Halloween treat in store for you in Strandhill. Support the RNLI Sligo Bay by dressing up as a pirate and raising some funds in the process. Every year Rebelle Surf runs a Halloween fancy dress surf community fundraiser. This year Rebelle Surf is teaming up with their friends @strandhillsurfschool and @sligosurfexperience to raise much needed funds for our local RNLI Lifeboat station @rnlisligobay. The RNLI provides the community with an invaluable service and this is a great opportunity to show the love! You can donate through the gofund me link, or on the day.

“Come along on the Halloween Sligo Dark Tales walking tour.” This unique walking tour covers the more macabre aspects of Sligo’s history and as it’s Halloween, there will be ghostly tales of the supernatural sure to send a shiver down your spine. The next public tour will be for Halloween, it will run on Saturday evening 29th October 2022. Book your ticket today as this tour sells out. Tickets are available on the website. Yeats’ Local for Halloween Weekend have a couple of events on 🎃 They have a fancy-dress party with music and prizes and they also have a Horror Movie Night on Thursday 27th.

Bree’s Strandhill are having a Halloween Hooley by hosting a fancy dress with prizes worth €500! They have pizzas, cocktails and music. It’s set to be a good one!
