Golfing in Sligo
What could be nicer than playing golf in one of the most scenic counties in Ireland? There’s plenty of choice when it comes to golfing here in Sligo, here are some of our suggestions:
County Sligo Golf Club
In the shadow of Benbulben and overlooking the Wild Atlantic Way this golf course has stunning views and is well worth a visit.
Strandhill Golf Club
Located in Strandhill and with the backdrop of Knocknarea. Why not play golf with a queen behind you? There’s also a great bar and restaurant and the views from there are stunning.
Castle Dargan Golf Course
Located in Ballygawley, Co. Sligo and designed by Darren Clarke. This golf course is located at a hotel with a spa, perfect for some relaxation after your game.
Enniscrone Golf Course is one of most challenging of traditional Irish links golf courses and offers 27 holes on 400 acres of magnificent links land. Located in beautiful Enniscrone and close to County Mayo.

Tubbercurry Golf Club
1Km from the town centre of Tubbercurry, located at foot of the Ox Mountains comprising of a picturesque and excellent 9 Hole, Parkland Course.

Ballymote Golf Club – I have no idea if this one is still in operation, the website has gone and there is a very quiet Facebook page. I’m waiting on clarification and will update when I have it.
Pitch ‘n’ Putt
Bertie’s Pitch ‘n’ Putt located on the Bundoran Road in Sligo. Their challenging 18 hole Pitch and Putt course is playable all year round.
