The Artist’s Way

October 19, 2019 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

The Artist’s Way

What is it?

• The Artis’t Way is written by Julia Cameron, a successful writer and a film director and has helped thousands of people to uncover their hidden talents.
• It provides a twelve week course that guides you through the process of recovering your creative self by making it part of your daily life. It tackles self-doubts, self-criticism and worries about time, money and the support to pursue your creative dreams.
• You will learn to organize and handle your future and progress in your life with confidence.

How?
To get the most out of “The Artist’s Way process you come together with others and work through the chapters of the book together.

By completing the weekly assigned Tasks you begin a self-discipline of exploring and reflecting on the obstacles holding you back to be the best you can be.

By adopting the daily practice of writing your Morning Pages, you will clear your mind of distraction, and anxieties and free up space for something new.

By exercising a weekly Artist’s Date, “assigned play”, you give yourself a quality self nurturing time. These dates will allow you to open up to inspiration, guidance and new insights.

Integrating the above tools in a supportive and confidential environment will become a way of life that keeps you focussed on all that is important to you.

This approach will help you to:
• Start your own path to creativity
• Dissolve barriers that are preventing your creative impulses from finding expression
• Use your rediscovered talents in whatever way you wish
• Learn that it is never too late to start fulfilling your dreams

Maria believes with Julia Cameron that Art is an Act of the Soul. She has been working in personal development, discovery our true essence for more then twenty-five years and for the past fifteen years (since 2004) she has taught ‘The Artist’s Way’. She has experienced first hand
what it means to lack creative support and what it means to find it. Often it is the difference between success and failure, between hope and despair. It is Maria’s experience that people benefit greatly from the support of others who share our dreams of living a fuller life.

In her facilitation she brings her own unique style and her personal and professional experience to the group. She is an accredited and experienced psychotherapist (MIACP) and Educator in Personal Development and Human Relations.
