Summer Residency in Bohemian Czech Franciscan Monastery
July 6, 2019 @ 1:00 pm - July 14, 2019 @ 10:00 am
We are human animals born to run, jump, walk, climb, fight for what we want, cooperate, tell stories and dance.
Our brains are a consequence of our wide range of movement and social interactions. Mental and physical agility run together. Movement affects not only our health, but also our emotional and mental well being.
Ignoring our evolution’s design carries serious consequences on our self, on our society and on the planet.
In this week residency we will empower ourselves through the joy of movement.
The hills, the forests, the river, the gardens, around the ex Franciscan Monastery in the little Bohemian village of Bechyne, are the perfect setting to experience the wisdom of Nature’s design of our body, mind and spirit.
We will apply our natural movements to a mix of dances going from contact Impro, tango, tai chi, play fighting, ecstatic dance, water dance and what you bring. We will also gather plants, cook together, swim, story tell, sing, and create different forms to cooperate and share knowledge and activities.
