Sensing & Listening Dance Workshop
September 15, 2019 @ 12:00 am - 3:00 am
“Sensing and Listening”
Manorhamilton Yoga Studio
15. 9. 2019
1-4 pm (+ 20 min extra for Q&A)
This workshop focuses on attention to processes of one’s body and mind within the context of movement and dance.
Together we will stop and sense the moment of being present, discover body listening and its perceiving – the ways of receiving and giving back, to nourish our well-being through vibrations of music, dance and mind-body practice.
We will deepen our senses to explore one’s own kinaesthesia, tuned us with surrounding which we will develop in self movement expression and non-verbal communication with others. By broadening the intervals between sensing and moving, we can explore prolonged periods of attending to and exploring sensory feedback arising from stillness into the movement effort which will help each mover to develop variations of dance dynamics. This experience will allow us to explore and increase our space orientation and find the way how to comfortably work in close or direct contact with dance partner/the others. Built dance awareness will be interpreted individually same as in the duets, trios or in a group.
This workshop is open to anyone with a curiosity about movement and dance – all welcome. It can be also understood as an introduction towards the continuity of possible dance sessions in Manorhamilton Yoga Studio on regular week basis. More will be discussing at the end of the workshop.
Please wear comfortable clothing to move freely, no shoes (warm socks recommended for beginning of the session) and bring some water to refresh yourself. Small snack will be provided.
Capacity limited. Advance booking required. Admission €20. For bookings or any info contact Marketa ***
