Repatterning LAB 26.-27.Oct
October 26, 2018 @ 4:30 pm - October 27, 2018 @ 3:00 pm
I am very happy to welcome spanish somatic practitioner and dance lecturer Sebastian Gomez Lozano from Murcia. Sebastian will share his knowledge and experiences during this 2 days workshop of Repatterning LAB nested in The Nest in Sligo.
Sebastian uses a pedagogical intervention methodology called Repatterning, a vertebrate teaching in human motor development patterns as well as in the Bone System. The LAB will be dedicated to this method and will investigate what patterns are common in human motor development, in somatic practices and in Contact Improvisation. From the Body Work we will work as the body in meeting these patterns in a natural way.
Sebastian has participated in numerous festivals, meetings, workshops, Residences of Contact & Improvisation since 2003: Edinburgh, Rome, Berlin, Freiburg, Stockholm, Lisbon, Helsinki- Karjaa, Warsaw, Budapest or Barcelona. He has worked with numerous teachers including Andrew de Lotbinière Harwood, Ray Chung, Eckhard Müller, Scott Wells or Martin Keogh. He was selected in December 2015 to work in the Residence of Contact- Improvisation with Nancy Stark-Smith in Massachusset (USA). In 2016, he conducted a Contact Improvisation Research Stay at the Leviathan Studio Research Center (Vancouver) under the supervision of the Director of the Mark Young Center.
