Charity Cookery Demo with Joe Shannon – NW Simon Community

A Cookery Demo & Food Fair will take place on Thurs 7th March 2019 at the Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa, Rosses Point with doors open at 7.30pm. This will be a light hearted celebration of food and fun and ladies will also have the chance to grab a clothes bargain before they leave!! We all need opportunities to stop, breathe, and enjoy time together!
The evening is guaranteed to be a wonderful mix of food, chat and banter as Joe Shannon Executive Head Chef at the RADISSON BLU HOTEL & SPA for the past 15 years, shares his culinary expertise and lots of useful tips. MC on the night will be the delightful Niall Canning with comedy from Frank Forde.
Joe will demonstrate a range of easy to prepare home-cooked meals which are bound to suit all tastes. Joe’s engaging personality is sure to present a wonderful evening of food and entertainment. Joe will be joined by comedian Frank Forde on the night. You will get an opportunity to taste some of the dishes.
Whether you are an aspiring home chef, or simply want to do something different with a group of friends, this is a fantastic opportunity to see one of Sligo’s finest and best-loved chefs demonstrate his skills on stage.
Doors open at 7.30pm with a food fair displaying and selling an array of varied local products. An ideal opportunity to do some early Mother’s Day shopping!! Joe then takes to the stage at 8pm where he will cook delightful dishes before your very eyes.
The North West Simon Community have a new charity shop at 4 JFK Parade in Sligo town and on the night a selection of pre loved ladies clothes will be available to buy at very reasonable prices. All in all a great night promised to suit everyone.
With lots of prizes to be won in the raffle on the night you’re guaranteed a wonderful “value for money” night out all in aid of local homeless charity North West Simon Community, a charity that strives to help communities and families struggling through poverty. Last year the charity prevented 184 people from becoming homeless in Sligo, Leitrim & Donegal.
