Easkey Street Festival

A creative community group has come together to organise Easkey’s first Street Festival on Saturday, 14 September. It will be a great day out for all the family.

With Easkey being the home of multi-award winning Pudding Row Café, there will of course be a fabulous Food Fest on the street, as well as a programme of live music & performance running all afternoon. The village will also be home to art & craft stalls and activities and attractions for children, including a Fire
Truck and the RNLI Lifeboat (thanks to both organisations).

Some other highlights of the day will be a raffle/auction, a pop-up art exhibition celebrating the many artists who live locally, and a corner of the Festival Field hosting a ‘Body, Mind & Soul’ section, featuring yoga, movement and holistic therapies.

Look out too for our eco neck-of-the-woods, ‘Birds, Bees & Soil’, showcasing the natural world and environment. And don’t miss the ‘Ssshhh, We’re Telling Stories!’ Heritage corner, where anyone can pop in and look at old photos of
the village/area, and relate their own memories of Easkey and its inhabitants from years gone by. These tales can be written in advance (max two sides of an A4 sheet) or related on the spot.

The Street Festival takes place between 2-7pm, and there will be live music at various venues later in the evening.
Everyone is welcome – so come along and have a great time, and please help us make Easkey’s new event as plastic-free as possible! Follow Easkey Street Festival on Facebook and easkey_street_festival on Instagram.
