Outdoor Parties in Sligo

Party Smores

Outdoor parties are always a blast. You get to enjoy the fresh air, space and freedom of an outside event with your friends or family members. Plus there’s no such thing as bad weather (mostly ;0) – just wear waterproofs so you can get muddy together. See below for some ideas this autumn and winter in Sligo.

  • Smores and walks in the woods. Wrap up warm, bring a disposable bbq and feed the troops with toasted marshmallows. Bring torches if you go at dusk for extra atmosphere. Please leave no trace.
  • The best outdoor children’s party we ever went to was in The Glen. The hosts bought flasks of hot chocolate and arranged a treasure hunt. The kids loved it (so did the adults). Wear wellies!!
  • Arrange a surf lesson with one of the fab Surf Instructors in Strandhill. Then grab some chips from Shells Cafe or a cake from Mammy Johnson’s to eat on the Sea Front.
  • Visit Atlantic Way Alpaca Farm for a lovely experience with their Alpacas.

Indoor Party Venues

Of course, indoor children’s parties are a safe bet when it comes to weather. And with the added convenience of someone cleaning up after you there is no need for stressed parents! Here is a list of some of the best in Sligo County.
